World Food India 2024 to Promote the Food Processing Sector

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, is taking significant steps to transform India into the food basket of the world. The Ministry is focusing on channelling investments across various food processing subsegments, including backward linkages, food processing equipment, research and development, cold chain storage solutions, start-ups, logistics, and retail chains.
To showcase the country’s rich food culture and attract investments in the food processing sector, the Ministry launched World Food India in 2017. Following the success of the event and the celebration of 2023 as the International Year of Millets, the second edition took place in 2023. This year, World Food India 2024 will be held from September 19-22, 2024, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The event aims to position India as a leading food basket by featuring exhibitions, conferences, industry roundtables, B2B/B2G meetings, digital showcases, and a Food Street. Highlights include a Start-Up Grand Challenge and awards recognizing groundbreaking innovations. The event promises visitors enhanced market access and significant networking opportunities for stakeholders in the food processing sector.
