Viva Launches India’s First A2 Fire-Retardant ACP Facility

Viva, a leading name in India’s Aluminum Composite Panels (ACPs), has launched the country’s first A2 Fire Retardant Core production facility. With this facility, Viva becomes one of the few global manufacturers capable of producing non-combustible ACPs.
The newly developed A2 core comprises 90 percent mineral content and 10 percent virgin polyethylene. These panels meet the European EN 13501-1 Class A2-s1, d0 standards, indicating limited combustibility, minimal smoke emission (s1), and zero flaming droplets (d0). They are also tested and certified by ASTM E84 and NFPA 285 (USA), strengthening their global credibility in fire-resistance properties.
Prakash Jain, CMD, Viva Metal Composite Panel, stated, “Safety, quality, and sustainability are the pillars on which Viva stands. By launching India’s first A2 core facility, we’re not just meeting global safety standards—we’re leading the industry toward a safer and smarter future.”
Unlike 100 percent polyethylene panels that are highly flammable, A2 core ACPs are designed for critical structures such as hospitals, airports, commercial buildings, and high-rises where fire safety is essential. The company’s A2 panels also maintain the brand’s reputation for aesthetic appeal and design flexibility.
