UFI Opens Applications for 2025 Next Generation Leadership Grant

UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, has launched the 2025 edition of its Next Generation Leadership (NGL) Grant, a program aimed at encouraging emerging leaders in the exhibition sector. Now in its ninth year, the initiative seeks industry professionals who demonstrate innovation and a commitment to driving change.
Each year, the NGL Grant focuses on a key challenge within the industry. For 2025, applicants are tasked with redefining exhibition formats by exploring unconventional and forward-thinking event models. Chris Skeith OBE, Managing Director and CEO, UFI, emphasized the importance of fresh ideas, stating, “There has never been a better time for fresh talent to step forward and rethink exhibition formats. The NGL Programme offers a unique platform to challenge conventions and shape the future of events.”
Adeline Vancauwelaert, COO, UFI, highlighted the program’s impact, noting that it not only recognizes talent but also provides a space for emerging leaders to experiment and influence industry change. Winners will engage in a seven-month program, collaborating with UFI teams, mentors, and past NGL alumni.
A panel led by Hugh Jones, President, UFI, will select up to five winners, who will be announced in late April. Their journey begins at the UFI European Events Week in Thessaloniki, Greece, from June 3-7, 2025, culminating at the 92nd UFI Global Congress in Hong Kong (November 19-22, 2025), where they will present their findings to top industry leaders.
Applications are open to full-time exhibition professionals with up to 10 years of experience and must be submitted by April 3, 2025.
