UFI Global Barometer Predicts Record Growth for Exhibition Industry
The UFI Global Barometer forecasts record growth in the exhibition industry in 2024, with revenues to be 115 percent higher than pre-pandemic level globally. Nearly 52 percent of companies will hire more people in six months. Generative AI is also becoming more accepted (91 percent of organizations appreciate its impact).
Revenues exceed 2019 levels in most markets by 2023, indicating a strong epidemic recovery. The domestic and global economies are key concerns, reflecting changing business goals. Kai Hattendorf, CEO, UFI, underlines the current optimistic view of the industry and the fast creation of job opportunities globally.
The survey, which included 419 companies from 61 countries, shows a boost in operations in the second half of 2023 and potential growth in 2024. Revenue predictions for 2024 suggest 15 percent growth, varying by country and region. Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, Greece, and Malaysia have the largest workforce expansion plans, indicating growth optimism.
