Telangana to Develop Biopharma Ecosystem - News

Telangana is now developing a biopharma ecosystem with Biopharma Hub (B-Hub), after setting new standards with the state-supported T-Hub and WE-Hub. IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao laid the B-Hub foundation stone at Genome Valley recently.

B-Hub's 200L single-use scale-up facility and 1.5 lakh sq ft research area will enable small and medium-sized biopharma businesses' proof-of-concept studies. It will boost innovation and talent as well as provide a unique opportunity for fast-growing biopharma companies to function as a driver for the biopharma sector, complemented by Hyderabad's booming life sciences ecosystem.

B-Hub will have good laboratory practice (GLP) - grade turnkey incubators. The scaled-up manufacturing facility will help domestic biopharma innovators catch up to Korea, China, and France. A biopharma scale-up facility will reduce time to market for companies aggressively pursuing global biologics and biosimilars possibilities.
