Telangana Intends to Expand its Electronic Manufacturing Sector
Telangana is looking to expand its #electronicmanufacturingsector by establishing two more #clusters and identifying land parcels outside of Hyderabad, according to #KTRamaRao, Telangana’s Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & Commerce, and Information Technology. Speaking at the inauguration of a new Radiant Appliances & Electronics unit at E-City, Ravirayala in Hyderabad, he revealed that the state aims to generate ₹2.5 lakh crore in revenue and create 16 lakh new jobs in the #electronicsmanufacturingsector over the next ten years.
In the last seven years, the state has added more than one lakh jobs in the electronic manufacturing sector, and it now has two #ElectronicManufacturingClusters (EMCs) in Ravirayala and Maheswaram, with two more on the way. The minister claimed that the state has everything needed for the sector’s growth and that its expansion will provide jobs for thousands of people, especially those who have completed 10th, intermediate, or ITI. The new plant will increase the company’s annual capacity from 25 lakh to 45 lakh units. It was established with a ₹100 crore investment and will provide additional employment for 1,000 people.
