Telangana AI Mission Names AI for Social Good Award Recipients - News

Telangana AI Mission (T-AIM) announced the winners of the inaugural AI for Social Good Awards, which was held at T-Hub on June 7, 2023, and was supported by the Government of Telangana, Capgemini, and NASSCOM. ‘From Code To Compassion’, a compendium of 15 successful AI-powered social sector innovations, was released at the event. To promote AI adoption in India, the awards honor unique and effective AI solutions for the social sector from India’s startup ecosystem. 
Health and sanitation, skill development and livelihoods, and environmental sustainability: AI startups submitted 128 entries. Three winning startups earned INR 7 lakhs in seed funding to scale their social sector AI innovations. Sparcolife Digital Health Technologies’ AI-enabled solution for women’s well-being, reproductive health, and fertility care helped over 350 women, won the health and sanitation category. 
Learn & Empower, which won the skill development & livelihoods category, uses entertaining, interactive games to help deaf students learn—their early release has reached 1,200+ deaf children in 67 schools in seven Indian states. Fluid Robotics, which uses computer vision and machine learning to track wastewater in 1.5 million feet of sewers, won the sustainable environment category.
