Taiwan Expo 2023 Strengthens Bilateral Trade Ties with India in Mumbai
The 6th Taiwan Expo 2023 is taking place at NESCO Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, from October 5-7, 2023. Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is organizing this event to explore prospects in ASEAN and South Asia, demonstrating Taiwan’s commitment to bilateral commerce with India.
This edition brings the Expo back in-person, allowing exhibitors and visitors to interact more closely with the product portfolio. The Expo will address Smart Manufacturing, Smart City, Smart Agriculture, Smart Lifestyle, and EVs with 6 themes and 7 pavilions.
The Expo’s curtain-raiser was attended by Homer Chang, Director General, Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC), and Keven Cheng, Deputy Executive Director, Taiwan External Trade Development Council. K J Cheng, TAITRA Deputy Executive Director, expressed enthusiasm for Taiwan-India trade connections during the ceremony. India and Taiwan traded US$ 8.46 billion in 2022, up from 2021, indicating growing business ties. The synergy between India and Taiwan offers great commercial opportunities as India becomes a global supply chain player.
