Taiwan Elevates Global MICE Presence with Inaugural International Summit

To improve Taiwan’s global presence in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry, the International Trade Administration (TITA) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs hosted the first International MICE Round Table Summit. The summit, held from June 3-5, aimed to build strong connections with international MICE organizations and Convention & Visitors Bureaus (CVBs) while highlighting the country’s vibrant MICE environment and local culture.

Fifteen key figures in the global MICE industry participated in the summit. They shared insights and engaged with Taiwanese MICE professionals. Attendees visited events such as COMPUTEX Taipei and the Taiwan International Fastener Show, observing Taiwan’s sustainable and energy-efficient exhibition practices, along with advanced AI tour guides and 3D modeling technology.

The summit concluded with a roundtable discussion on sustainability, technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and destination marketing. Edward Liu, Honorary Chairman, Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations (AFECA) emphasized the country’s leadership in sustainable MICE activities. International attendees praised the country’s advanced use of AI in event management.
