Shree Cement Ltd Opens its First RMC Plant in Hyderabad
Stepping into the ready-mix concrete (RMC) business, Shree Cement Ltd inaugurated Bangur Concrete, its first Greenfield RMC plant, in Mankal, Hyderabad.
The plant can produce 90 cbm (cubic meters) of RMC every hour, reflecting the company’s strategy to diversify into multiple product offerings in the cement industry.
HM Bangur, Chairman, Shree Cement Ltd, unveiled this new plant, increasing the company’s combined RMC capacity to 512 cbm per hour. This strategic move follows the company’s recent acquisition of five operational plants from StarCrete LLP, Mumbai, showing its commitment to expanding in the RMC market.
Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director, Shree Cement Ltd, expressed optimism about this venture, citing India’s growth momentum as a driving force behind the company’s expansion into RMC. The company plans to become a modern and eco-friendly building materials company by focusing on capacity utilization, brand building, cost efficiency, and research & development initiatives.
