ServiceNow Sees India as AI Growth Hub

ServiceNow Inc, a provider of AI-powered enterprise software, has identified India as one of its fastest-growing markets outside the United States. The country's increasing use of automation in industries such as financial services, telecommunications, and healthcare has contributed to this growth.

India’s growth was particularly highlighted by Amit Zavery, President, Chief Product Officer, Chief Operating Officer, ServiceNow, who said, “India is the fastest growing market for us globally with a double-digit growth rate.” He anticipates that the country will overtake all other Asia-Pacific markets as the company’s largest market.

Nearly 20 percent of the company’s workforce, over 5,200 employees—operates from its engineering hubs in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, contributing to 40 percent of its product engineering. India’s contribution to the development of agentic artificial intelligence (AI)—a technology that allows AI bots to carry out intricate tasks with little assistance from humans—was highlighted by Zavery. He explained that their India centers are conducting significant work on agentic AI, noting that AI studios assist customers in creating AI agents through user-friendly low-code tools. Indian engineers also focus on cybersecurity, incident management, and user experience.

ServiceNow is relying on agentic AI as a major component of its platform. Zavery referred to the technology as a ‘game changer’ for automation, efficiency, and customer experience. He mentioned that 50 percent of the company’s global customers intend to integrate AI this year, while businesses such as legal services are already benefiting from AI-driven contract management. The company collaborates with major clients such as Infosys Ltd and Visa Inc, where its AI solutions enhance payment fraud detection and dispute management.
