Saudi Arabia Offers Enhanced Visa Options for Indian Travelers

Saudi Arabia has announced new tourist visa options to make travel easier for Indian tourists. With stopover visas, eVisa services, and visa-on-arrival, visitors can explore Riyadh, Jeddah, the Red Sea, and AlUla. These guidelines aim to meet diverse travel needs and encourage more people to experience the country’s tourist attractions.

There are ten visa facilitation centers across India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kolkata, and Calicut, with more planned. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to attract 7.5 million Indian travellers by 2030, with a target of 2.2 million by the end of 2024.

Indian travellers can now apply for a 96-hour stopover visa via the Saudia airline website. The eVisa is available for those with valid US, UK, or Schengen visas with stamped proof of entry, and for permanent residents or those with a valid residence visa from a GCC country, valid for at least three months beyond entry into Saudi Arabia. Eligible travellers can also opt for visa-on-arrival at Saudi airports.
