The 31st edition of South Asia Trade Travel Exhibition (SATTE) kicked off at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida on February 22, bringing together over 1,500 exhibitors and 800 hosted international and domestic buyers, along with travel agents from 120 Indian cities.

Supported by the Union Ministry of Tourism and State Tourism Boards, the event, organized by Informa Markets in India, featured Uttar Pradesh as the host state and several others as partner states. With discussions on topics like ‘Tourism@2047’ and ‘Decoding MICE for Business & Career Opportunities’, the expo aimed to address industry challenges and opportunities.

Saudi Arabia led as the premium partner country, with Dubai, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand joining in. Last year marked a milestone for India’s travel industry, hitting INR16.5 trillion, thereby highlighting its pivotal role in the nation’s economy, noted Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets. The launch of ‘Atithi’, an initiative for reverse buyer-seller meets, aimed to boost inbound tourism. With around 250 international buyers from 50 countries, it is set to make India a top travel destination globally.
