SAFE WEST India Expo Explored Safety and Security Solutions
From May 9-11, 2024, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Mumbai, SAFE West India, a security, and fire expo, successfully concluded. Organized by Informa Markets in India, the expo showcased commercial security and surveillance trends and focused on preventive technologies for the Western Indian market.
According to Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, the electronic security market is projected to grow. The CCTV Camera market is expected to reach US$13.08 bn by 2029 with CAGR of 16.9 percent.
On that note, Sanjeev Tiwari, ARVP, American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) West India Region, and Sandeep Sabharwal, Assistant Vice President - Corporate Administration, Aditya Birla Management Corporation Pvt Ltd, underscored the importance of technology in addressing evolving security challenges.
The expo featured over 75 global brands, including giants like Panasonic India, TP-Link India, and more. It also featured renowned Indian brands specializing in CCTV, surveillance, biometrics, access control, GPS, Wi-Fi routers, spy cameras, power supply, and more.
Anup Nair, President - Sales, CP Plus, emphasized the significant role of hybrid and cloud solutions, noting their increased popularity in the consumer segment. Furthermore, Ashish P. Dhakan, CEO of Prama Hikvision India, outlined the rapid adoption of Artificial Internet of Things (AIoT) technologies in the country’s security market.
A dedicated two-day conference, themed ‘Intelligent Security Tech for a Safer Future,’ attracted more than 40 speakers and 5000 trade visitors. Vijay Goel, Vice President, Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT), and Bijoy Alaylo, Vice President, TP-Link India, lauded the event for promoting security solutions and fostering industry collaborations.
Furthermore, Prof Amol Deshmukh, Police and Cyber Advisor, Dept. of Home, Government of Maharashtra, highlighted the upcoming legal changes aimed at a victim-centric approach and strengthening national security.
