₹8,052 Cr Worth Road Works Underway in Hyderabad
Telangana’s Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KT Rama Rao, recently stated that the state government has taken up road works worth ₹8,052 crore under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) in the city in the first phase.
According to an official statement, the Minister inaugurated a Road Over Bridge constructed at a cost of ₹86 crore in Kukatpally.
In his remarks, Rama Rao stated that approximately 30 percent of the SRDP projects have been completed, with the remainder in various stages and expected to be completed by the end of the year. He further said, “Plans for the second phase of SRDP works involving ₹3,115 crore are ready for creating necessary infrastructure.”
In reference to welfare programs, he mentioned that the TRS government has distributed various pensions to 40 lakh people at a rate of ₹2,000 per month, whereas the previous administration only provided pensions to 26 lakh people at a rate of ₹200 per month.
