RenewX 2025 Lights Up Chennai, Energizing South India’s Green Revolution

RenewX 2025, South India’s leading renewable energy sourcing event, organized by Informa Markets in India, kicked off on April 23 at Chennai Trade Centre, drawing thousands of industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to explore the future of clean energy and further India’s green transition. The event continues its 9th edition at Chennai, owing to the city’s strong representation and commitment to the country’s sustainable energy push.

With more than 200 leading brands participating and featuring around 50 speakers across a dynamic three-day conference, the event is expected to draw in an excess of 8,000 professionals from energy and allied sectors. RenewX spotlights Tamil Nadu and its southern border states as leaders empowering national clean energy goals through wind & solar power, bioenergy, and green hydrogen solutions. The inauguration ceremony was graced by dignitaries from Frost & Sullivan India, Tamil Nadu Solar Energy Developers Association, Karnataka Renewable Energy System Manufacturers Association, Kerala Renewable Energy Entrepreneurs’ and Promoters’ Association (KREEPA), and more.

Key features of this year's edition include the Bioenergy Pavilion, financial and policy expert panels, and technical discussions on solar and storage advancements. Furthermore, a unique Solar Installer Premier League coupled with factory visits provides attendees with practical insights from the events. “India is at a pivotal point in its energy journey, with 125 GW of renewable capacity already installed and an ambitious target of 500 GW by 2030,” added Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, lauding the efforts of southern states. “This 9th edition in Chennai reflects the evolution of RenewX as more than a sourcing fair—it’s a strategic enabler.”
