Rail India Conference & Expo 2025 Focus: Green, Safe, and Modern Railways

The eighth edition of the Rail India Conference & Expo, organized by Messe Frankfurt India Trade Fairs, will be taking place on April 25, 2025, at The Lalit, New Delhi. The event is expected to focus on how electrification, renewable energy, high-speed trains, and safety features like Kavach, an indigenously developed Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system, are changing Indian Railways and India’s holistic development of transit and transport.
Realizing the importance of the sector, the Indian Government has allocated INR 2.52 lakh crore for the Railway sector in the recent Union Budget 2025-26. Additionally, INR 1.16 lakh crore has been allocated for safety upgrades, and the railways also plans to introduce new Vande Bharat Trains and Amrit Bharat Trains services.
With the ongoing construction of freight corridors, movement of goods and consignments across the country is expected to become quicker and more efficient. The Indian Railways is also expected to become the world’s second-largest goods carrier by the end of the fiscal year, handling around 1.6 billion tonne.
As the Railway sector gains prominence, the conference is strategically scheduled at the right time with the theme, ‘Indian Railways Excellence: Green, Safe, and Modern’, exploring major developments such as Metro, Mono Rail, Hyperloop, and Vande Bharat trains. The conference will bring together industry experts to discuss topics revolving around modernization, logistics, safety, sustainability, security, and public-private partnerships.
Key sessions and highlights will focus on next-generation trains, safety technology, renewable energy, station renovation, and freight digitization. With delegates from distinguished backgrounds attending, the event has garnered support from the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
