QpiAI Launches India’s First Full-Stack Quantum Computer

Bengaluru-based startup QpiAI marked World Quantum Day by launching one of India’s most advanced quantum computers, the QpiAI-Indus. The system features 25 superconducting qubits and is the country’s first full-stack quantum computing platform, according to the Ministry of Science & Technology.
The launch comes under the National Quantum Mission, coordinated by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), where the company is one of the eight selected startups. The QpiAI-Indus system combines advanced quantum processors, next-generation Quantum-HPC software platforms, and AI-enhanced quantum solutions to support hybrid computing applications.
The company stated that this development will support deep-tech innovation across various fields such as life sciences, drug discovery, materials science, mobility, climate action, and sustainability. Through this launch, the company aims to improve the national quantum ecosystem, promote technology adoption, and build a skilled talent base in quantum science. The announcement aligns with the broader vision of enabling a quantum-powered future that encourages scientific progress and industrial transformation.
