OTM Mumbai Tops the Charts as Leading Travel Trade Show
In a market research study commissioned by Fairfest Media Ltd, India’s leading trade show organizer, OTM Mumbai has been named the No.1 travel trade show in India and Asia. Conducted by NielsenIQ (NIQ), a leading consumer intelligence company, the study gathered feedback from participants and visitors who had attended multiple travel trade shows in the region.
The survey evaluated 18 international travel trade shows across Asia and 20 regional shows in India. It included responses from an overall sample size of 312 individuals, with exhibitors and visitors as the focus groups. Countries covered in the study included India, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Bahrain, and several others, providing a broad geographic representation.
The findings revealed that 59 percent of respondents in India identified OTM as their preferred national and regional trade show. 42 percent of respondents selected it as their top choice in Asia. Results also indicated that the tradeshow outperformed major events such as ITB Asia, ITB India, and SATTE Delhi.
Further analysis of the results highlighted that the tradeshow earned high satisfaction scores, particularly for the quality of exhibits. The survey also emphasized that participants were more satisfied with the venue than with other travel trade shows in the region.
The next edition of OTM is scheduled for January 30-February 1, 2025, at Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC), Mumbai. The event promises to be the largest yet, with over 40,000 travel industry professionals from 60 countries expected to attend.
