Mumbai to Host 10th Kids India Toy Fair
The 10th edition of a B2B trade fair for the Indian toy industry, Kids India 2024, will be held from September 12-14, 2024, at Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC), Mumbai. Organized by Spielwarenmesse India Pvt Ltd, the Indian arm of the world’s largest toy fair organizer, the event is supported by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Sports Goods Export Promotion Council (SGEPC), The All India Toy Manufacturers’ Association (TAITMA), and endorsed by the Ministry of Micro, Small, & Medium Enterprises.
With major international retailers like Walmart, Amazon India, and Hamleys participating, the show will offer Indian toy manufacturers a valuable opportunity to engage with global buyers and expand their market reach.
Christian Ulrich, Spokesperson of the Executive Board, Spielwarenmesse eG, noted that the event’s first edition was held in 2013 to cater to the growing Indian market and has since remained a premier platform for showcasing high-quality toys.
Manish Kukreja, President, TAITMA, emphasized the fair’s role in promoting innovative products and driving growth in the Indian toy sector, which is expected to expand at a rate of 15 percent annually over the next five years.
Vivek Jhangiani, Director, TAITMA and Chairperson, FICCI Toy Sector Committee, highlighted that the event continues to uphold high standards, supporting established brands and new entrants.
The fair will feature an array of products, from educational STEM toys and traditional wooden toys to the latest innovations and licensed goods. Also a conference program will address key challenges and strategies for boosting exports and achieving international distribution.
