Mumbai Airport’s 'Pawfect' Therapy Dogs Return to Ease Travelers’ Stress
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, has reintroduced its ‘Pawfect’ program, designed to help travelers manage stress with the support of nine trained emotional support dogs. This initiative, previously paused during the COVID-19 pandemic, is returning to help with passenger comfort at Terminal 2.
The return of this program is intended to ease travel stress and create a more enjoyable experience for passengers. The dogs—a mix of breeds including Golden Retriever, Maltese, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Labrador, and a rescued Husky—will be available from Friday to Sunday in Terminal 2’s domestic Level 3 and post-immigration areas, where they are scheduled to greet passengers between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
Travelers can look forward to meeting these ‘furry ambassadors of happiness’ as they prepare for their journeys. In a video that has gained attention online, the dogs are seen interacting with passengers of all ages, especially children. Social media users praised the initiative, with some calling it a positive way to bring calm to the airport environment.
