Moscow’s Electronic Visa Program Attracts Indian Business Tourists in Droves

Indian business travelers have increased significantly in Moscow during the past two years, according to the Moscow City Tourism Committee. Indian MICE is one of the largest outside the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) due to this increase. Business + Leisure Travel and MICE 2023, in New Delhi on September 29 featured a keynote address by Evgeny Kozlov, Chairman, Moscow City Tourism Committee.  Kozlov noted Moscow’s MICE and business tourism possibilities and Indian businessmen’s growing preference for Moscow.

Kozlov ascribed this development to the August 1, 2023, electronic visa program, which facilitates Indian travel to Moscow. No consular visits and a simplified application process are benefits of the e-visa. He stated that Moscow is becoming a center for international business events, offering Indian businesses networking chances and world-class facilities despite epidemic challenges. The new Moscow MICE Ambassadors program promotes corporate tourism in Moscow. Kozlov concluded by expressing optimism about MICE and business tourism in Moscow and announcing the October 2023 MICE Congress.
