MICECon 2023 to Highlight 'Bleisure' Tourism - News

Meetings Incentives Conferences Exhibitions Convention (MICECon) 2023, slated for March 1-3 in Davao City, Davao del Sur, Philippines, will be a hybrid event, with around 500 delegates expected to attend in-person activities and 1,000 virtual participants. As the industry recovers from the epidemic, it will showcase a burgeoning business-leisure travel trend.

During the event's signing ceremony with the Davao City Government, Maria Margarita M Nograles, Chief Operating Officer, Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), stated, "Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions are the low-hanging fruits on our road to recovery as 'bleisure' or the mix of business and leisure travel, has emerged as the prevailing trend for the business meetings industry."  

To this, Sebastian 'Baste' Z Duterte, Davao City Mayor, added that the event will benefit the tourism industry in the city and the five provinces of the Davao region, as well as provide opportunities for investment and business partnerships.
