The Municipal Administration Department is preparing to establish metro rail connectivity between Raidurg and Hyderabad International Airport as part of its ongoing efforts to improve Telangana’s infrastructure.
In addition, the department will construct 15 bridges across the Musi River and an Elevated Bus Rapid Transit System (EBRTS) from KPHB to Kokapet. Furthermore, a 21-kilometer bicycle track will be constructed on the ORR. The roof of the 4.5-meter-wide track will be made of solar panels and will be accessible between the main roadway and the service road. The Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KT Rama Rao, stated during the release of the annual report of Municipal Administration and Urban Development that the project was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a lack of funds. Regarding the development of Telangana State, he announced that Telangana is one of the three most urbanized states in India. He also concluded that the state has one of the nation’s fastest-growing #urbaneconomies.
