Mars Veterinary Health Joins Crown Vet in India
Mars Veterinary Health, a global division of the pet care leader Mars Petcare, has entered into a minority stake in Crown Veterinary Services, in a move set to redefine the veterinary landscape in India. Pet lovers are likely to benefit from the partnership as it is set to improve the accessibility and quality of pet health care within the country.
Currently serving eight clinics in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune, Crown Vet will expand in a major way. The investment will also cover the future apex training programs for the firm’s 240 employees, of whom 60 are veterinarians. Overall, the company’s achievement was welcomed by Pratapsinh Gaekwad, Founder, Crown Vet, who stressed that this growth proves growing acceptance of pet healthcare in India and will help to improve services and give the company’s team access to the best training available around the world.
The partnership leverages the global expertise of well-known brands, including Royal Canin, Pedigree, and Whiskas, which belong to the Mars Petcare company. With over US$ 50 billion in annual sales and 3,000 veterinary clinics worldwide, Mars Veterinary Health has established itself as a leader in compassionate and innovative pet care. Through this partnership, Mars aims to bring its legacy of quality and compassion to India’s rapidly evolving pet care market.
The alliance underscores a larger trend of rising pet ownership in India, paired with an increasing appreciation for the human-animal bond. By addressing the growing demand for advanced veterinary care, Mars and Crown Vet are paving the way for a brighter future in pet healthcare.
