Kerala to Host Annual Cultural Festival 'Keraleeyam'
The Kerala government has announced its plan to host an annual cultural festival named ‘Keraleeyam’ starting from November 2023. The festival will run from November 1-7, 2023, in the state capital, coinciding with 'Kerala Piravi' day, which marks the formation of the state. Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister, Kerala, inaugurated the welcoming committee meeting for ‘Keraleeyam 2023’ kicking off preparations.
During the week-long festival, around 35 exhibitions will be presented across 60 venues, with trade fairs, art displays, biennales, film festivals and international book festivals. The festival also aims to highlight the state's accomplishments in various fields, along with flower and art shows. About 20 seminars will take place from November 2-6, concluding on November 7 with the presentation of the 'Nava Kerala' vision.
Chief Minister Vijayan stated that international dignitaries, including Nobel laureates, will be invited to the festival to share their insights. He emphasized the festival's goal to acquire knowledge about the changing world for implementation in Kerala.
