Inter Dairy Expo 2024 in Mumbai to Fortify India’s Dairy Future
Inter Dairy Expo 2024, from December 5-7, will take center stage in India’s burgeoning dairy sector at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. Organized by VA Exhibitions Pvt Ltd in association with the Indian Dairy Association (West Zone), the event will be a comprehensive showcase of India’s US$ 125 billion dairy industry, spanning its entire value chain. Over 120 leading companies from India and around the world will showcase cutting-edge technologies, sustainable practices, and automation solutions.
Being the world’s largest milk producer, India contributed 24 percent of global milk output in 2023-24, with a record production of 230.58 million metric tons. The annual growth rate for the dairy market is pegged at 9 percent due to innovations in the production, processing, and packaging processes as well as sound Government support. According to Dr RS Sodhi, President, Indian Dairy Association, milk cooperative societies and village collection systems have fostered economic independence by breaking barriers of gender, caste, religion, and community. He mentioned that the sector has empowered 80+ million rural households, especially women, playing a crucial role in furthering women’s empowerment across the nation.
There will also be a Start-up Zone, B2B meetings, CEO Conclave, and the Inter Dairy Awards 2024, recognizing achievements in quality, sustainability, and innovation. Further, a two-day seminar on ‘Global Market Opportunities for Indian Dairy’ will deep dive into export strategies and regulatory insights. Emphasizing the concurrently held parallel events, Ashwani Pande, CEO, VA Exhibitions, said the expo highlights industry trends and addresses the industry’s challenges to solidify India’s position on the international dairy stage.
