India’s First B2B Dry Fruits Trade Exhibition MEWA 2024 Debuts in Delhi
MEWA 2024, India’s first-of-its-kind two-day exposition for nuts and dried fruits, held from February 16-17, concluded successfully, at Yashobhoomi Convention Center, Delhi. Organized by ACRAW-Nuts and Dry Fruits Council-India (NDFCI), the event, inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, featured lively presentations of India’s booming Nut & Dry Fruits business.
MEWA 2024, led by NDFCI, aims to unite India’s fragmented nut and dry fruit trade. With over 200 exhibitors, the trade expo brought industry leaders together to profit from India’s growing market. A fascinating Panel Discussion and Culinary Show showcased India’s nut and dry fruit tastes.
The Lok Sabha Speaker praised NDFCI and MEWA 2024 for helping the industry expand and consolidate. He stressed the need to boost India’s nut and dried fruit industry, which employs over 10 lakh people, as well as urging organizations like the NDFCI to work with farmer groups to study growing nuts and dry fruits in different Indian climates. At the ceremony, Gunjan Jain, President, NDFCI, noted changing customer tastes and the rising demand for exotic dry fruits among health-conscious Indians.
