Indian Railways Introduces Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train
Indian Railways’ Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, features a ‘South Western Sojourn’ vacation package, which started on June 17 from the Kochuveli station, Kerala, and will end on June 26 of the following year at the same station. This special tourist train will stop at certain stations en route to and from Mysore, Hampi, Shirdi, Shani Shingnagpur, Nashik, and Goa.
There are a total of 754 seats available on the Bharat Gaurav Tourist train, split between the Standard (544 seats) and Comfort (210 seats) classes. Three AC three-tier coaches, eight sleeper class coaches, two luggage cum brake vans, and one pantry car make up the rest of the train. The base price for this vacation package is INR 18,350, and it goes up to INR 28,280 for the comfort class.
The standard class fare for a child aged 5-11 is INR 17,040, and the comfort class fare is INR 26,700. In an effort to promote domestic tourism and encourage foreign visitors to experience India’s splendor, the Indian Government has launched programs like ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ and ‘Dekho Apna Desh’, which is in line with the introduction of the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train.
