India International Jewellery Show Premiered In Mumbai
The India International Jewellery Show, the world's second-largest gem and jewellery trade show, commenced on August 2, 2023. The show premiered together at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, and Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.
Organized by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the event attracted industry experts and enthusiasts from around the globe. Put together, the venues accommodated 3,250 stalls and welcomed 1,850 exhibitors, over an area of 70,000 sq mt of exhibition area.
The show was graced by the presence of Mike Hankey, Consulate General of USA, Mumbai.
GJEPC's latest initiative, the India Jewellery Exposition (IJEX) Centre in Dubai, offers a year-round exhibition platform for sourcing Indian jewellery globally. It promotes ‘Made in India’ gems & jewellery, reaffirming India's leadership in the global market.
“IIJS symbolizes the confidence and underlying strength of the Indian gem and jewellery industry, ” shared Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC. As a premium destination for the industry, the show left attendees in awe and anticipation for its next edition.
