Incredible India Pavilion Gains Spotlight at ITB Asia 2023
The Indian Ministry of Tourism attended the ITB Asia exhibition in Singapore recently to promote inbound tourism to India worldwide, particularly in Asia Pacific. Tourist stakeholders, including tour operators and state tourism departments, participated in ‘Incredible India! Visit India Year 2023’ led by the Ministry of Tourism.
HE Dr Shilpak Ambule, the High Commissioner of India to Singapore, inaugurated the ‘Incredible India’ pavilion. It highlighted India’s adventure, wellness, Himalayas, eco-tourism, sustainable tourism, and exotic wildlife tourism products. IRCTC, Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, and Puducherry represented their tourism offerings at the event.
India hopes to boost its international appeal with Visit India Year 2023. The Ministry of Tourism promotes sustainable tourism to support a national strategy to make the tourism sector more resilient, inclusive, carbon-neutral, and resource-efficient while preserving natural and cultural resources. Mission LiFE’s Travel for LiFE program promotes green tourism to safeguard the environment and address climate change. India’s G20 objective for Green Tourism is supported by this program’s ‘Travel for LiFE Actions’ for tourists and tourism businesses.
