IITM 2025 Set to Boost South India’s Travel Industry

The India International Travel Mart (IITM), South India’s largest travel trade exhibition organized by Sphere Travelmedia and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, will return to Chennai and Bangalore. IITM Chennai will take place from July 16-18, 2025, at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, followed by IITM Bangalore from July 24-26, 2025, at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds.

Now in its 26th year, the event continues to be recognized as a major business-to-business (B2B) platform, offering business networking opportunities to domestic and international tourism boards, travel operators, technology providers, hospitality brands, and other stakeholders. 

Both exhibitions will feature dedicated pavilions for domestic destinations, international tourism boards, luxury travel, experiential tourism, technology solutions, and sustainable tourism. The exhibitions will focus on increasing brand visibility, supporting business development, and encouraging strategic partnerships in the travel and hospitality sector.

Sanjay Hakhu, Co-Founder and Director, Sphere Travelmedia and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, shared that the exhibition has become a landmark event in South India’s tourism calendar. He emphasized the importance of the Chennai and Bangalore editions in driving business and expanding industry connections.

Rohit Hangal, Co-Founder and Director, Sphere Travelmedia and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, pointed out the growing local and international participation. On that note, he stated that the exhibition highlights the strength, diversity, and potential of the travel and tourism sector in the region.

IITM aims to support business growth through immersive networking, workshops, and buyer-seller meetings. A key focus this year will be on sustainable tourism practices and emerging travel technologies like AI-powered travel planning tools, virtual reality (VR) travel experiences, contactless check-in systems, and blockchain-based travel security solutions.
