Hyderabad’s Indira Park-VST Flyover to Open on Independence Day
Indira Park-VST steel bridge in Hyderabad is expected to open by August 15 on Independence Day, providing relief from traffic congestion at three busy junctions: VST Junction, Indira Park X-road, and RTC X-roads.
The 2.62 km-long flyover, constructed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) under the Telangana Government’s Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), is built with approximately 13,000 tons of steel and has a budget of INR 350 crore.
With four lanes, the bridge serves as a bi-directional elevated corridor. The decision to construct the steel flyover was prompted by the traffic congestion faced in Jubilee Hills, primarily due to the presence of numerous IT firms in the area. Upon its inauguration, the bridge will not only alleviate congestion at the aforementioned junctions but also partially ease traffic snarls at Bagh Lingampally Junction and Ashok Nagar X-roads.
