Hyderabad Metro Rail Extends Hours for IPL Fans
In preparation for the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket match at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMRL) has announced extended service hours on April 25, 2024.
Trains will operate beyond the scheduled closing time, with the last departures from terminal stations at 12:15 AM, aiming to reach destinations around 1:10 AM. Entry during extended hours will be allowed only at Uppal, Stadium, and NGRI stations. Exits will be available at other stations.
This decision comes as HRML and Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) prepare for the influx of fans attending the IPL. TRTC has arranged special buses to and from Uppal stadium. Additionally, HMRL will increase train frequency two hours before the match to ensure fans can travel conveniently.
The proactive measures taken by Hyderabad Metro Rail and TSRTC demonstrate their dedication to facilitating smooth transportation for sports enthusiasts.
