Hyderabad Growth Corridor Ltd to Install Solar Panels
Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) wing, Hyderabad Growth Corridor Ltd (HGCL), would install solar panels along the 21-kilometer cycling track on the ORR at a cost of ₹88.12 crore.
Cycling tracks will be created along the ORR from Nanakramguda to the Telangana State Police Academy (TSPA) and from Narsingi to Kollur. HGCL has already solicited bids, and the selected agency will complete the project in seven months.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has agreed to create cycling pathways around the city in collaboration with the Hyderabad Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (HUMTA) and the Hyderabad municipal police throughout September 2020. As a demonstration project, cycle routes from Begumpet Metro station to Khairatabad Junction were also envisaged.
In phases, nodal agencies were intended to build 450 kilometers of cycling paths in Cyberabad/Hitec City, Kukatpally, Dilsukhnagar, Charminar, Mehdipatnam, Financial District, and Hyderabad Knowledge Centre.
