HVAC Growth and Sustainability in Focus at ACREX 2025

ACREX India 2025, a leading exhibition on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) technology and supply chain innovations, concluded successfully on February 22, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). Organized by Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) in collaboration with Informa Markets in India, the three-day event featured over 500 exhibitors from 40 countries and drew more than 30,000 attendees.
The inauguration ceremony welcomed industry leaders, including Chief Guest Mahesh Kumar Khaitan, Director, SATTVA Group, and key officials from ISHRAE and major companies, highlighting the event’s importance in fostering collaboration and innovation.
Khaitan emphasized the HVAC industry’s rapid growth, with exhibition space expanding from 200 to 14,000 sq mt. He noted that South India accounts for 40 percent of national HVAC consumption, reinforcing the importance of local manufacturing under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Muniraju, President, ISHRAE Bengaluru Chapter, announced the ISHRAE Certified Professional (ICP) course, which trained 100 professionals this year. Madhukar A, Convenor, ACREX 2025, stressed the need for industry collaboration to drive innovation and strengthen technical expertise.
Arun Awasthy, President & Managing Director, Johnson Controls India, and Mukundan Menon, Executive MD and RAC Head, Voltas, highlighted the rising demand for sustainable HVAC solutions, driven by technological advancements and government initiatives. Madhur Sehgal, Head of Climate Solutions Sales - India Region, Danfoss, noted that intelligent HVAC systems are crucial for efficiency and sustainability.
Subramaniam, Chair, ACREX 2025, described the event as one of the largest in its rotation between Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi, addressing key challenges like energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Anoop Ballaney, President, ISHRAE, highlighted the event’s role in bringing together industry leaders and policymakers to shape the future of HVAC in India.
Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, stressed that the event encourages industry growth by showcasing cutting-edge technologies and facilitating meaningful business engagements.
