GrindingHub 2024 Showcases Innovation in Grinding Technology
Organized by VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association), GrindingHub 2024, a trade fair for grinding technology, has turned out to be a meeting point for the machine tool industry with 490 exhibitors from over 30 countries participating.
Dr Markus Heering, Executive Director, VDW, expressed enthusiasm about the event’s growth, with an expanded exhibition space of roughly 41,500 sq mt and a diverse range of products covering more than 40 sectors. The second edition aimed to showcase the entire grinding process chain, highlight the sector’s importance and potential for innovation.
The opening ceremony was graced by Dr Patrick Rapp, State Secretary, Baden-Wurttemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism who emphasized the critical role of grinding technology in precision manufacturing. The event’s focus on new developments and efficiency-boosting solutions reflects the industry’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technology and meeting evolving demands.
Apart from the exhibition, the event featured the Grinder of the Year competition that addresses the industry’s skills shortage. It also included forums highlighting trends like automation, machine learning, sustainable production, and digital integration.
