Government Holds National Conference on Tourist Police Scheme
National Conference on Tourist Police Scheme was organized by Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs and Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) in New Delhi recently.
The Conference brought the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Bureau of Police Research & Development, and the State Govts/UT Administration together to work in close coordination with the State/UT Police department and sensitize them to the specific needs of foreign and domestic tourists for effective pan-India implementation of the Uniform Tourist Police Scheme. This is slated to revolutionize the global safety and security impression of India and make it a must-visit destination.
