GED 2024 to Celebrate Exhibition’s Economic & Social Impact
To be held on June 5, 2024, Global Exhibitions Day (GED) 2024 is expected to mark a significant moment for the exhibition industry. Facilitated by UFI and other associations, the theme for this year’s event, ‘Exhibitions are catalysts to sustainable futures’, will emphasize the industry’s contribution to addressing global challenges and advancing sustainable development goals.
The campaign’s key pillars will focus on exhibitions as platforms for progress, economic growth, sustainable business models, and community builders. The event will partner with Snöball - Event Marketing and EcoMatcher to plant a ‘GED Forest’ in the Philippines, Madagascar, and Ecuador, encouraging professionals to participate and amplifying their support for the event.
Geoff Dickinson, President, UFI, noted the importance of recognizing exhibitions’ important role in shaping a sustainable future. He stresses the need for industry stakeholders to spread the event’s message and engage policymakers, media, colleagues, and communities, emphasizing the collective effort needed to nurture sustainable growth.
Various resources and tools will be available on the official event website to help individuals and organizations participate in the event, including organizing initiatives, seeking government endorsement, and utilizing the toolkit for customized visuals.
