Gaurav Sood Appointed CEO of Messe Stuttgart India
Messe Stuttgart India Pvt Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of Messe Stuttgart, has appointed Gaurav Sood as its new CEO. At the age of 47, Sood takes over from Aditya Gupta, who had been managing the company on an interim basis since June 2024 following the unexpected passing of Sachin Patil. Gupta, who is also the CEO of the India Didactics Association, played an important role in overseeing Messe Stuttgart India’s operations during the transition period.
Roland Bleinroth, President, Messe Stuttgart GmbH, welcomed Sood to the team while acknowledging Gupta’s contributions. “We are excited to work with our new CEO colleague in India, Gaurav Sood, and at the same time express our sincere appreciation to Aditya Gupta for his service in the interim period. Sood’s extensive experience in the trade-show industry will facilitate the further expansion of our already successful business model in India,” he stated.
With 25 years of experience in India’s MICE industry, Sood previously served as General Manager at Hyve India, a leading organizer and the Indian branch of the British trade fair organizer. Prior to that, he played an impactful role in establishing MCI Group in India, a Swiss-based event organizer specializing in American and European trade congresses.
Sood’s appointment comes at a time when Messe Stuttgart India continues to strengthen its presence in the market with events like LogiMAT India, DIDAC INDIA, MOLDEX India, and FASTNEX.
