‘Future of Work’ Exhibition at Bhubaneswar Showcases New Technologies and Skills
The ongoing ‘Future of Work’ exhibition at Bhubaneswar, to demonstrate the need for new skills and knowledge in a fast-changing world, was inaugurated by Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. On the occasion of the G20 presidency’s 3rd Education Working Group meeting at CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT), Bhubaneswar, Odisha, the initiative was taken.
NIT Rourkela, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIM Sambalpur, Meta, UNICEF, and NCERT displayed technologies that would drive the future of work, workplace innovations, skills, and innovative delivery models at the exhibition. The program featured over 100 Indian and G20 exhibitors.
On the fringes of the show, a conference, ‘Emphasis on Modern Technologies in Future of Work’, discussed Al, Metaverse, Automation, Machine Learning, and others, strengthening India’s overseas partnerships, and setting up a future of work framework.
The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Ministry of Education held precursor activities on the first two days. At the exhibition’s unique experience zone, job seekers learned about the future of work and previewed the sophisticated technical abilities needed. Visitors saw holograms and interactive surface tables and walls, reverse engineering, automated design, drone technology, Ed-tech, and industry 4.0 skills during the exhibition.
