Dubai Woos Indian Tourists with 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visa
Dubai has introduced a five-year visa, enabling multiple entries for travelers from India. The application is processed within two to five days. The 90-day visa can be extended by 90 days (combined), which sums up to 180 days for a year. In 2023, Dubai reported an increase in the number of Indian visitors, reaching 2.46 million tourist overnight stays, even above the pre-pandemic volume.
Bader Ali Habib, Regional Head, Proximity Markets, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), lauded India’s role in Dubai’s tourism success, highlighting the visa’s strategic importance in enhancing ties and economic collaboration. This initiative aligns with the D33 Agenda to bolster Dubai’s global status, and Dubai’s aims is to deepen economic collaboration with India, leveraging cultural and trade ties.
The UAE-India economic partnership fosters diverse travel experiences, from luxury shopping to family-friendly attractions, bolstering Dubai’s appeal. DET reported a 19.4 percent tourism increase in 2023, with India maintaining its position as the top source of international visitors, in line with D33 objectives initiated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai.
