Daifuku Opens Cutting-Edge Automation Facility in Hyderabad

Daifuku Co, Ltd, a Japanese material-handling equipment company, opened its modern manufacturing center and innovation facility in Hyderabad through its local Indian entity, Daifuku Intralogistics India Pvt Ltd. This INR 2.27 billion investment serves as a critical enhancement for India’s automation, skill development, and self-reliance objectives.
On the development, Hiroshi Geshiro, CEO, Daifuku Co, Ltd, stressed that India stands as one of its most critical global markets and that the facility showcases the company’s strong dedication to India’s growth path. He also mentioned that the company’s smart logistics and manufacturing leadership faith in India stems from aligning with the ‘Make in India’ initiative. This facility at Hyderabad supports industrial automation solutions that match the changing requirements of ever-changing India’s logistics industry for various sectors, including e-commerce as well as retail alongside automotive, pharma, and FMCG enterprises.
In his assessment of the facility, Srinivas Garimella, Chairman, Daifuku Intralogistics India, declared that it represents more than just infrastructure, as it emphasizes long-term investment in both people, sustainability, and innovation. As per Garimella, by fostering collaboration and empowering local talent, the company aims to drive innovation and deliver excellence for the customers and communities.
The Hyderabad plant will generate more than 100 skilled engineering and production positions during its initial phase while enhancing smart logistics capabilities in India. Asim Behera, CEO, Daifuku Intralogistics India, stated that Hyderabad provides the ideal environment since it connects the diverse strengths of its talent pool with extensive connectivity for building advanced solutions that extend beyond Indian borders.
