Coca-Cola to Invest INR 647 Cr in Telangana
Coca-Cola to invest INR 647 crore to build its Siddipet greenfield plant by December 2024. This extension expands Coca-Cola’s Ameenpur Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) plant.
A Telangana delegation led by KT Rama Rao, Minister for IT, Industries, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Govt of Telangana, clinched this important investment in New York after high-level Coca-Cola discussions. A second greenfield manufacturing site in Karimnagar or Warangal is being planned.
The company would invest over INR 2500 crore in manufacturing facilities with this promise. James McGreevy, Vice President (PPGR), Coca-Cola in New York, stressed India’s status as Coca-Cola’s 3rd largest market. He added that HCCB’s 2020 INR 142 crore Ameenpur plant expansion showed the company’s ambitious expansion intentions in India.
The Siddipet plant project began with an INR 1,000 crore MoU with the Telangana Government on April 7, 2022. Coca-Cola has doubled its investments in Telangana due to strong regional growth and Government backing.
