Chandigarh’s Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department Honored with Skoch SILVER Award 2023 - News

Skoch Group, one of India’s top think tanks and consulting organizations, awarded the Skoch SILVER Award 2023 to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries in Chandigarh for first-of-its-kind e-Governance for computerization of the medical records of livestock being handled by the department. The award seeks to recognize outstanding efforts, projects, and organizations that have significantly advanced a variety of sectors. Vinod P Kavle, Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, provided more information, stating that this web-based application software serves nine veterinary sub-centers and five government veterinary hospitals of the Animal Husbandry Department, Chandigarh. 
This application’s main goal is to make it easier for animal/pet owners to register their animals online for medical care and other services like artificial insemination, vaccinations, etc. to keep track of all hospital and sub-center information, including OPD, stock book, daily drug expenditure, and artificial insemination.
