Bharat Tex 2024: India’s Vision to Lead the Global Textiles Revolution
The newly inaugurated Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi venues will host the world’s largest textile fair, the Bharat Tex 2024 Expo. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India, said at the Expo’s curtain-raiser that “Bharat Mandapam or Yashobhoomi will significantly boost our efforts to position India as a global leader in the textiles sector.”
He is convinced that the Bharat Tex Expo will cement India’s position as a global textile powerhouse, marking a turning point in the country’s textile reputation.
Goyal stressed that the 2,00,000 sq mt show will be the world’s largest textiles exposition. Over 40 countries will exhibit at the expo, which will also have knowledge sessions, conferences, CEO roundtables, B2B & G2G meetings, designer exhibitions, fashion shows, sustainability workshops, and expert talks.
The platform will highlight India’s textile value chain, encompassing fashion, traditional crafts, and sustainability. The 12 Textile-related Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and other industry bodies suggest organizing the event.
