Bharat Mobility Expo Poised to Become World’s Largest Automotive Show
Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, an automotive bonanza organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and coordinated by Engineering Exports Promotion Council (EEPC) India, is all set to transform the global automotive industry. It is scheduled for January 17-22 across three venues: Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in Delhi, and India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. In its second edition, the event aims to showcase cutting-edge innovations and the latest trends in mobility.
Aakash Shah, Vice Chairman, EEPC, highlighted the expo’s massive scale, with an exhibition area of 200,000 sq mt and over 1,500 exhibitors. According to him, this event is on track to becoming the world's largest automotive show and is just shy of surpassing Germany’s IAA Hannover show in exhibitor count. The expo will unite nine trade shows under one roof, including a dedicated cycle exhibition. More than 34 vehicle manufacturers are expected to introduce new models, which include electric, hybrid, CNG, and biofuel-powered vehicles. Big players driving the EV evolution include Ather Energy, Ola Electric, and Vinfast, among others.
With participation ranging from 1,000 brands and 800 auto component makers from 13 countries, the organizers of the event expect a show of the largest global auto show. Dedicated pavilions from countries like Germany, Japan, and South Korea will further enhance its global appeal. Despite visa challenges, some Chinese companies operating in India will participate, albeit in smaller numbers than pre-COVID times. The expo is expected to attract over five lakh visitors, solidifying India’s position as a global hub for mobility innovation.
