Atlas Copco Launches Reman Equipment Program in India

Atlas Copco, a Swedish multinational industrial company, has recently announced the launch of its Reman Equipment Program in India to refurbish used compressors and engines to their original performance levels. The initiative aims to extend the operational life of industrial equipment, reduce ownership costs, and support sustainability by reusing materials and lowering environmental impact.

The first restored compressor has already been delivered by the company under the program. The program is prepared to provide tailored, high-quality refurbished equipment for various industries, including construction, mining, oil and gas, and water well operations.

The remanufacturing process follows a detailed procedure that includes assessment, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, replacement, reassembly, testing, and final finishing touches. Refurbished machines come with warranties provided by the company, covering design and manufacturing defects. This program uses only genuine parts and skilled technicians and ensures strict adherence to ISO certifications.

Prasanna Kulkarni, General Manager, Power Technique Customer Center, Atlas Copco (India) Pvt Ltd, shared, “The Reman Equipment Program represents a significant step in our commitment to sustainability, performance reliability, and customer value.” He further added, “By using existing components and materials, we not only reduce manufacturing costs but also promote resource conservation.”

Customers are sure to benefit from lower costs, faster turnaround times, and extended equipment life with upgraded technology under this program. The company sees a growing demand for sustainable solutions and plans to enhance its remanufacturing capabilities to meet future needs while contributing to global environmental goals.
