Atenx’s Recycled Sportswear Sets a New Trend in Indian Sporting Industry
Atenx, an Indian sports brand, has begun manufacturing sportswear from plastic bottles, understanding the environmental consequences of plastic usage. Specifically, the Pune-based sports firm produces 100 percent recycled dry-fit t-shirts and has found success in manufacturing sportswear from recycled plastic bottles. With the good outcome in mind, the company is resolved to produce the majority of its clothes from plastic waste, and while the brand’s sustainable sportswear has proven to be profitable, it soon plans to begin producing other clothing and sportswear from plastic bottles.
Aditya Ganeshwade, Founder, Atenx, stated that the idea has been to instill the latest technology that makes outfits breathable and eco-friendly, and the company is finding the best ways to bring innovation and recycle plastic waste for other sportswear. He believes that clothes made of recycled plastic are more efficient and will reduce carbon emissions to a greater extent, and he expects that other sportswear firms will be quick to follow suit.
