ALPLA Group Invests ₹70 Cr in Telangana Mould Shop Center
ALPLA Group, an Austrian provider of plastic packaging solutions, recently announced that it has set up its third global mould shop, following those in Austria and Germany, at the Pashamylaram facilities of its Indian subsidiary, ALPLA India.
While the mould shop cost ₹60 crore, ALPLA India also spent ₹10 crore to establish a dual education center in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry, Telangana, and the Telangana Government’s department of technical education.
Vagish Dixit, Managing Director, ALPLA India, stated that with the inauguration of the new facilities, the Group’s investments in Telangana have surpassed ₹500 crore, making the Pashamylaram facility one of the top 15 plants among the Austrian conglomerate’s 177 plants worldwide. He further added that the decision to locate the mould shop in Telangana reflects the ALPLA Group’s confidence in the techno-commercial skills of Indian professionals.
Philipp Lehner, CEO, ALPLA Group, mentioned that the Telangana facility is an amalgamation of global expertise and local capabilities, and that the Hyderabad plant is developing local solutions with global technology, and that India and Hyderabad are important to the company.
